    Hi fellow bloggers (or bloggees)... I have tried to follow a number of your blogs and the message says...by invitation only. If you want followers or comments please make provision for comments and invite the whole group (and check out Abbie's blog/ presentation if you haven't aready)

    I have had the same problem. Also 1 or 2 of the blogs I can view don't have the "follow" option on their blog. The slideshows I have seen have been great. Some have set the bar very high. Unfortunately I will come in under that bar, but really enjoy what I am seeing what is possible.

    Ian, could you please send another group email which includes the newly enrolled students. Then we can invite each other to view blogs.

    ...I'm sure most people know this already but it may still be helpful.

    You'll need to copy the addresses from an EDGE903 group email, go to your blog then to customize >settings>permissions> and add or invite readers (copy in the email addresses).

    Thank you Abbie. I was just about to make the same request. I'm such a beginner that I wasn't sure whether adding to my permissions was the only way to do it :-)

    All of the presentations that I've been able to take a look at have been terrific. Puts mine to shame.

    On some of the blogs, I can view but can't post a comment - "only group members" it says. I'm on their followers list. How can I access the blog if I'm not a member???? Help please :-) Antoinette

    on some of the blogs that I am a member I have noticed the odd name whom I have not been able to join their blog previously (same message as you got) but on the last occassion I was able to send them an invitation through my contacts' blog (I hope that makes sense) will let you know if it works...if Steve and whoever else I invited responds:) (sorry its the wee hours... and not exactly with it. The comments sectionn is something the blogger has to configure... although that section on some of the blogs is hard to locate... email them and advise them of it maybe they are not aware.

    why can't I post a comment on some of the blogs? I am "following" the blog but it says that only members of the team can post a comment. I thought if you where in this group you are a member of the team. Is there something that has to be done so others can post a comment?

    Given people have posted comments on my blog I am assuming that my settings are correct and the guide below is based on this:

    I think people need to set (a) the comments to 'show' (rather than hide) and (b) for comments to be allowed.

    To do this sign into your blog
    Select 'Customize' on the top right
    Click on the 'Settings' tab
    Select the 'Comments' tab

    Comments: Ensure that 'show' comment radio button is selected.

    Who can comment?
    Select Registered Users

    Feel free to correct me if this isn't correct.

    I think it is the article with the monkey picture. About interface buffers.That is what I am looking at.
    Everyone should have sent out invitations to all in the group to view their blogs, but you also have to give them access to post comments. Go to settings & then to permission to send out invites & allow access. (at least I think that is how I did it with mine, has been a little "hit & miss" am a bit of a techno-novice)
